This is my first picture in UK, now putting here only as a "starter" as well as a "milestone" of my following lengthy description, jejeje...
I love the acres and acres of green lawn everywhere throughout London, in Bracknell (small town west of London where my friend "Little Nie" recently built her nest :p),
Windsor (where Windsor Castle stands, the alternative palace of the queen), Oxford (I'm sure you know it), even Bath Spa (said to be the only world heritage place of UK, isn't it?).
How can it be so green??!!
I ran into the St James's Park along the The Mall street which leads to Buckingham Palace, the queen's official residence. In central city, such a green park is a luxury for me. In Windsor, you can see huge green fields with only 1-2 trees standing in the green middle every 50m perhaps, trees with complicated twisted sticks yet without leafs on them. It reminds me of those fairy tales I read in childhood, the queen ofher majesty would just wander around the green land with a royal dog accompanying her. "But my friends told me that the queen only takes cereals as breakfast and drives Jaguar, not that fancy as we assume. Well the whole country seems to "gossip" their royal family a lot by whichever possible means, but I do think people give due respect to their queen who in nowadays is a high-profile PR ambassador for UK.
Oops, where am I. Lost track of my topic...
Now London time 11:23pm, still 5.5 hours to go before check-in.
Thanks to "Cafe Bar" in London Luton Airport so that I had place and hot drinks to keep warm to write all these blah blah blah...
Just wonderful, jaja.
Well now come my complaints.
First, not very surprisingly, the dramatic-tempered weather.
My 2 days walking in central London were memories of wind, hunger, museum, dizziness...Talking about today, in the early morning, sunshine, then at noon started raining, suddenly very heavy rain just poured down, late afternoon, hails, then snow! Can you imagine??!! It was Mar. 22rd, and in spring, come on!
A view from Christie's home window: Moody...going to rain... Exactly the same place, but going out of control, hails and snow flakes...Dio mio!
Positive thinking of civilized people like us (oops:-):
This only implies how lucky our life in Madrid, 10 months of the year, whenever stepping out of home and walking on the street, always blue, blue, blue, pure blue sky, not even a tiny cloud above your head...No Complaint about Madrid!
Second, "La gente en los reyes unidos solamente come Zanahoria(Carrots)"
"No hay vegetables nada, todos se importan de espana"
Verdad?
No veges grown in UK except carrots, almost all veges are from Spain. Because the weather make UK an ideal place to grow fantastic grass.
Well, really tired, not esay task sitting at airport.
Happiness, satisfaction, enjoyment: People make difference. I have to confess this expression sounds like cliche, but...true...apart from my above complains, my spending time with friends was full of joy, caring, sharing, and understanding...just fantastic!
