La Noche de Feliz Ano Nuevo 2008

It was a really excited, a little bit stupid yet very pleasant, exhausted night after living in Madrid about 14 months. We are eleven people with 3 persons from Spain, 2 from Finland, 1 from Germany, 2 from Argentina, 2 from Britain, and me. It was really INTERNATIONAL :-)

We had a nice party in guapa Emilia's friend, Taija's apartment, where we tried belly dancing, not very professional though.

Then we went to La Puerta del Sol where Madrilenons usually hold their new year night celebrations, that is, crazy dancing, endless drinking, screaming (trying to gain attention from tons of people packed in the plaza in our case :p), eating 12 grapes...until hardly no one was able to stand still.

Walking slowly arm by arm with friends (thank god we had enough people taking care of each other and not getting lost at that chilly & restless night), my mind was completely awake by the time we reached Taija's friend's apartment with extremely exotic style of decoration, where all of us sat around the table, trying different drinks, joking, laughing...It was quite fun for me as this was my very first time to be with all Spanish-speaking people while not feeling left out at all. Well, a good sign, jaja!
