IBM 3D Peep Show: A Shoppertainment?

The world is changing so fast with technology as the most active driver to upscale our consuming senses. I have to say as a "greedy" shopper myself, IBM's newly launched Multisensory Cabin in Milan further trigger my desire to visit Milan some time in future to try this new "shoppertainment". Well now I have one luxury hotel branded "Miss Sixty" (it is an Italian clothing brand, but amazingly it is also marching into the hotel industry) plus this Milan department store La Rinascente.

It also reminds me today's learning from Digital Media class that contents (here the latest cat-walk fashion show show inside the cabin), when packaged/created with new technologies, can create innovative user experiences (here "shoppertainment") via new distribution channels (well many of us may have watched 3D movies, but might never tried a 3D show at store). Here the opportunities are coming, but its implications should go beyond the good-looking financial statistics, if successful, the idea of shoppertainment might finally change the traditional layout of the store, making it a consumers' runway.

Living upon Google

I was not a big fan of Google, but Google seems to be making my life more fun and efficient.

I've done group project "Google" last Jan., even when presenting before class, I had no intimate feeling for Google---Yes, I know this young kid from California has beening doing so many stuff really gaining tremendous eyeballs across the industry, its agile move in contrast to Uncle Bill's lagging step has been talked like cliche for long time. But I still don't have that passion for it, esp. when thinking of its countrified Chinese litetranslation of "Gu Ge" meaning "Song of Valley"---absolutely, if not destroying, having nothing to do with its dynamic hi-tech image.

But now I'm so amazed at how my life is built upon Google:

Log in to personalizd Google homepage --> check Gmail --> connect to G Reader, glance news, starring and throwing fun stories to G Shared Items--> go back to G homepage and write "to do" from time to time --> check weather, check G Calendar, check G Map, check Wiki from there (oops, I do use a lot of Wiki :p)... all customized by you --> now writing post in G Docs for G Blogger, and will try to post it right from here...

Oh, one advantage of G Docs is almost in less than one minute, it shows "saving" automatically, and since everything on Google is web-based, you dont have to worry about the STORAGE, no hassle of deleting spams---a oh...do I sound like a Google propagandist?

Oh, yes, I just tried Google's new themed personalized page---"city space" layout, it says "This theme will dynamically change to match your time of day, including local sunrise and sunset times."
